The Echota Cherokee Paint Clan and Membership

To obtain membership in the Echota Cherokee Paint Clan you must first contact us by e-mail, person to person, phone or by showing up at a meeting. After that we will ask you to come to some meetings, functions or other event. We like to get to know our people and would love for you to get to know us. We are a working tribe. We work in Santa Rosa and Escambia County to better those in need. We do fund raisers, help those in need with food, blankets and even clean-ups.
I guess what I am trying to put across to future members is that we are not a " I have my Indian Card. Look I get discounts or I can get into this place now." We as a mix of many differant tribes should not feel that we need a card to prove to others we are of our ancestors. A card is for when you need it or when all else fells.
There is a 6 months probation period. If you have left another tribe with-in 1 year then there is a 1 year probation period. With-in this time we as a tribe will watch and help you grow. Maybe you will help us grow, that is the meaning of all this.
If after all of this you and yours show that you are willing to help or participate in tribe affairs. Then you will recieve a Tribal Card.
